interview with Naij.com, speaks on her new role in the state, how her

Read excerpts of the interview below:
How do you feel being appointed as the Executive Protocol Officer in Cross River state?
Like every other job, you’re expected to be diligent in all your dealings and when it comes to punctuality, this is very paramount as long as my boss (Governor Benedict Ayade) is concerned.
What are the duties expected of you?
I believe God has brought me here for a reason and I’ll give in my best and let God handle the rest for me.
How were u appointed and were you expecting it?
I believe it was by the grace of God Almighty because I wasn’t expecting it at all. When I was Miss Heritage Nigeria, I was part of the campaign team for my state elections where I went to show my support as a Crossriverian and also identify with my people as a daughter of the soil.
I believe God will give me the grace to deliver the assignment He has bestowed on me. I also believe He (God) found me worthy of such honour to handle a responsibility as huge as this one, so it won’t interfere with my office as a beauty Queen because it is a way for me to reach out to the less privileged children and also to educate the girl child in my society.
As you know I am still miss Heritage Nigeria because I haven’t handed over yet, as well as Miss Heritage Africa which I won last year November in south Africa, so everything is happening at the same for me and I can only say, Thank You Lord Jesus. When I say I wasn’t expecting it, I mean it because they’re so many capable hands in my state and I didn’t know that my little works were being noticed for me to be appreciated in this format but God is God and man is man, no one can question God. I am blessed and graceful to God for choosing me.
When are you expected to resume office?
I resumed office immediately.
How do your parents feel about this new achievement?
Wow! They’re super proud of me although, my dad is late but my mum is a strong woman.

Going into politics at a young age, how do you intend to cope?
By the grace of God I’m a strong woman, God has brought me this far and is still taking me higher and He alone will strengthen me to finish strong. I believe determination and hard work goes a long way after prayers. I love politics because everything about life is a political affair so, I’m here to stay.
What are you most grateful for?
I’m grateful to God for my beautiful life, it’s been amazing from 2014 till date, God has been busy with me and uplifting my career from one level to another and He has been so mindful of me. I’m so amazed.
