Ooni of Ife visits Buhari, Osinbajo at the state house

 

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, visited President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, at the state house today February 16th.
 
 The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, is currently at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.Oba Adeyeye who arrived at about 1.10pm, was received by President Muhammadu Buhari and vice president, Yemi Osinbajo.

He arrived at the State House a few minute after Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) left.

According to Comrade Moses Olafare, the director of media and publicity affairs at the Ooni’s palace,the monarch was grateful for Buhari’s support during his installation as the Ooni.

You will recall that the President was represented by Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and Kabiyesi, was appreciative of this sort of support,” Olafare said.

This is the first visit of the monarch after his coronation last year.
Oba Adeyeye was named the new Ooni of Ife in October 2015 following the passing away of Oba Sijuwade Okunade. After all the traditional rites were observed, he was presented with the staff of office and instrument of appointment on Monday, December 7.

Report has it that the Ooni would discuss issues affecting the Yorubaland.
